Meet the Artist Vincent Serbin Third Friday, July 15th from 5-9pm
As Tappan Z Galleries best- selling photographer, Vincent Serbin's work is a unique expression of darkroom collage imagery. Serbin explores the post-modern theory which suggests that every new event is a hybrid of a past happenstance. From this notion, Serbin creates breathtaking black and white prints in his darkroom.
Using a traditional black and white film in a 4x5 camera, Serbin then decontructs his negatives, reassembles, and enlarges them into one-of-a-kind silver gelatin prints. Each is beautifully framed and exhibits handiwork reflecting a sense of history, change, and duality captured in a single moment.
